“Majestic Warrior,” featuring Chic Corea, Stanley Clarke, Al Dimeola and Lenny White was the first music album by Corea we experienced. During a recent Newport jazz festival concert, Chic performed. There’s a street named after him in Chelsea Ma, where we worked a number of years. Well, while at the festival we heard this sonic lick coming up as Corea was playing and made the camera jump on it. I think that particular music phrase is the most recognizable Chic Corea lick ever recorded. Listen.
